We recognise our duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the accompanying protective legislation and other applicable requirements to which we subscribe. We will endeavour to meet the requirements of this legislation and associated requirements so as to ensure that we maintain a safe and healthy working environment. We are committed to the prevention of injury and ill health, and to the continual improvement of our occupational health and safety management system and performance.

All staff are informed of their responsibilities to ensure they take all reasonable precautions, to ensure the safety, health and welfare of those that are likely to be affected by our undertaking.

2.    The identification and elimination of hazards, the undertaking of regular assessment of risks and the implementation of appropriate protective and risk reduction measures.

3.    The provision of adequate training to ensure that all employees are competent to carry out their work tasks.

4.    The promotion of awareness of health and safety and encouraging the implementation of health and safety best practice throughout our organisation.

5.    Engaging and consulting with employees on day-to-day health and safety conditions and provide advice and supervision on occupational health.

6.    The implementation of emergency procedures – the provision of first aid and evacuation in case of fire or other significant incident.

7.     The maintenance of safe and healthy working conditions, the provision and maintenance of plant, equipment and machinery, and the safe storage / use of substances.

In order that we can achieve our objectives, and ensure our employees recognise their duties under health and safety legislation and other requirements applicable to them whilst at work, we will ensure that we inform them of their duty to take reasonable care of themselves and others that may be affected by their activities. This is also supported by our ISO 45001:2018 compliant Occupational health and safety management system.
